Are you ready for an incredible journey through Northern Vietnam? Our photography tour will bring you a vibrant mix of culture and nature, and capture artistic portraits of locals. We will focus on three main components: the dynamic streets of Hanoi, the stunningly beautiful and shaped rice terraces, and the amazing way of life of the villagers of Northern Vietnam.
We begin our adventure in the heart of Old Hanoi, where you will immerse yourself in the pulsating rhythm of the city. We will explore the bustling streets, photograph street vendors balancing their wares on traditional poles, and immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere of roadside eateries.
From the bustle of the city, we move on to the spectacular landscapes of Mu Cang Chai, a stunning region near the border with China that is a dream for landscape photographers from all over the world. Here you will see some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Vietnam, with dramatic mountains, winding roads and iconic rice terraces that seem to defy gravity as they cascade down steep hillsides. We have timed the tour to coincide with the annual rice harvest to capture the rice terraces at their best. Imagine golden fields stretching to the horizon, highlighted by the colorful traditional clothing of the local farmers working the land.
We will also visit several traditional Vietnamese villages, where locals have been plying their craft for hundreds of years. We will be able to take great portraits, capture incredible textures and immerse ourselves in the lives of farmers centuries ago.
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 (September 29)
We meet in the evening at a beautiful hotel in the historical center of Hanoi, take a rest from the flight and have dinner together at one of the local restaurants.
Day 2 (September 30)
Today we get to know Hanoi. Right after dawn we will film the arrival of a train passing through the narrow streets of the city, filled with noisy traders. And then we will move to the city lake, where we will film some more on the streets of the city, and then return to the hotel for breakfast.
Also on this day we will go to the local market, film people and everyday scenes from their lives in the old residential area of Hanoi.
Day 3 (October 1)
This day we will dedicate to photo shooting in three villages of craftsmen near Hanoi: the village of incense, the village of soy and the village of fish traps.
All these villages are incredibly colorful and photogenic. We will be able to capture stunning scenes from the life and work of Vietnamese craftsmen dressed in traditional costumes.
Day 4 (October 2)
Today we have a long drive from Hanoi to Mu Cang Chai (6.5 hours drive, not counting stops), where we will arrive just at sunset to do our first photo shoot in the mountains with beautiful rice terraces.
After the photo shoot we will go to the hotel for dinner.
Days 5 - 6 (October 3-4)
These days we will be fully dedicated to shooting the landscapes of Mu Cang Chai and rice terraces. We will be shooting the beautiful landscapes of northern Vietnam at dawn and sunset in a variety of locations. And in between shootings we will try the wonderful Vietnamese cuisine and share the shots.
