We would like to introduce you to this wonderful and very unusual tour that combines wildlife, landscape photography, street photography and the wonderful atmosphere of South Africa. We will shoot magnificent wild animals, see breathtaking views of the ocean, visit beautiful parks and taste South African cuisine.
And of course, the most unusual, interesting and amazing thing about our trip is the tigers!
We will go to a wonderful park where we will be able to take pictures of tigers living in the African wild in comfortable conditions. Unlike Asia, where there are a lot of tourists, here in South Africa we will have a separate car and a minimum number of other photographers nearby. For three and a half days at sunrise and sunset we will be shooting tigers, cheetahs and other animals in close proximity and in a very beautiful environment of autumn savannah and rocky canyon.
In addition to tigers, we will get to know the life of the fastest animals on Earth, admire their incredible speed, agility and grace. In Kishindo Park, years have been spent on making cheetahs trust people and allow them to come within arm's reach. This will allow us to take truly incredible shots, film these majestic creatures in their natural habitat and observe their hunting techniques.
Autumn in South Africa lasts from about April to mid-June and is perhaps the best time for nature photography.
This period offers colourful landscapes with bright autumn colours. By May-June the savannah is filled with shades of orange and yellow. And of course, this is a great time of year for wildlife viewing.
Autumn is a great time to photograph the Cape of Good Hope: the winds die down, the days are warm and rain is quite rare. By May the landscapes acquire rich autumn colours. The sunlight becomes less harsh, so you can shoot longer at dawn.
In our photo tour we will photograpth in the most beautiful and interesting places in the vicinity of Cape Town, we will drive along the most beautiful roads. We will shoot from observation platforms with breathtaking views, visit the famous Cape of Good Hope, see a colony of African penguins.
It is worth noting the magnificent cuisine of Cape Town and the wonderful wines of Stellenbosch. Here you can try both excellent seafood and wonderful South African steaks. This tour can definitely be called a photo-gastronomic tour.
A visa to South Africa for citizens of Russia and most other countries is not required.
Our trip will be dedicated to artistic photography, we will meet sunrises and sunsets in the best locations, we will learn in practice how to take beautiful pictures of landscapes and wild animals. I will share my experience with you and reveal the secrets of mastery. If desired, I will analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your work.
*The schedule and tour program may change due to weather, road and other circumstances.
ITINERARY
Day 1 (May 4)
Our tour starts in Cape Town, the most beautiful city in the Republic of South Africa, at the luxurious AC Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Waterfront in a beautiful area on the waterfront. We meet at 7 pm in the hotel lobby, where we go out for dinner together in an excellent seafood restaurant. It is not without reason that we chose this safe area as the base and starting point of our journey. From here you can quickly get to most of the photographic places, and in the evening you can walk and relax in a pleasant atmosphere.
Day 2 (May 5)
We will start our exploration of Cape Town at sunrise with a short trip to Signal Hill. This is a great morning vantage point with stunning views of the city, surrounding areas and Table Mountain.
After sunrise photography, we will return to the hotel, have breakfast and head to the famous Bo-Kaap quarter with its colorful houses, which are incredibly beautiful and photogenic in the morning light.
During the day we will also visit one of the most beautiful and largest botanical gardens in the world - Kirstenbosch. It has an amazing collection of various plants. It is not for nothing that Cape Town and its surroundings are famous for their incredible diversity of flora and fauna. And from the park's paths there are beautiful views of the nearby mountains. Here you can also take pictures of very beautiful birds. We have lunch planned in Constantia at a local winery, where they serve amazing steaks.
In the afternoon, we will ride the cable car and climb Table Mountain, from where magnificent panoramic views of the city open up.
Day 3 (May 6)
The third day of our trip promises to be very eventful. And we will dedicate it to the Cape Peninsula with its stunning views, incredible coastal roads and, of course, penguins.
At dawn, we will go to shoot in the town of Muizenberg on the shore of False Bay, and then a colony of African penguins awaits us on Boulders Beach. These birds are incredibly funny and photogenic. You can take many great pictures against the backdrop of picturesque cliffs.
Then our path lies to the famous Cape of Good Hope, shrouded in legends. Who among us has not dreamed of visiting this windswept place in childhood. Along the way, we will shoot when we see interesting stories, and they will definitely be there.
At sunset, we will go to shoot cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean on the famous Chapman's Peak Drive.
Day 4 (May 7)
In the morning we will have breakfast and go to one of the most unusual places in South Africa, which is located in the very center of the country. We will fly to the city of Bloemfontein, from where we will move by SUV to the town of Philippolis near the private park Tiger Canyon.
Drive 2,5 hours
Days 5-7 (May 8 - 10)
Here in the park we will have three and a half days, during which we will go on safaris and photograph a variety of African animals. But the main goal of our photo safari will be tigers. Here in the park they live freely among the rocks and savannah. Due to the relatively open terrain, we will have an excellent opportunity to take wonderful shots of these majestic, very secretive and incredibly beautiful animals.
In addition to tigers, we will be able to see and photograph lions, cheetahs and many other inhabitants of Africa. Graceful cats are quite accustomed to cars and people, so we will be able to drive up to a very short distance and literally take portraits. And the magnificent nature and rocks will create a wonderful background for our photos.
It should also be noted that in the park, unlike popular and well-known places in Africa, there are not many people, which makes the photo safari very comfortable and enjoyable.
Day 8 (May 11)
On this day, after the morning safari, our tour ends, we will return to Bloemfontein, where we plan to be no later than 14:00, from where you can fly home or continue your journey to Zambia and Zimbabwe to Victoria Falls.
