One of the greatest ways to learn the intricacies of Russian characteristic and to get acquainted with the country's landmarks and history, is to take a journey through the cities of the Golden Ring. Located in the northwest area near Moscow, this is where you will be able to get a feel for the unique, Russian provincial way of life.
The route through the Golden Ring contains numerous worthwhile sights, such as masterpieces created by some of the best ancient Russian architects. Many of these site have even been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, making them must-see landmarks.
It is on this route that you will be able to take amazing photographs and capture the beauty of Central Russia. There are ancient Orthodox churches to visit, delicious food to taste, authentic mead to drink, and even traditional Russian bathhouses to experience.

Day one.
In the morning we are taking a comfortable bus from Moscow to Vladimir.
The way takes approximately 3 hours.
We are going to see the white stone monuments built in the XII century, listed as a UNESCO world heritage - the Golden gates, St. Demetrius Cathedral, Cathedral of the Dormition, which preserved frescoes of the great Russian artist Andrey Rublev (XV century).
Then we go to Suzdal - a small old Russian town, which hardly changed since the middle ages. For 2 nights we will stay in a comfortable hotel built in the Russian merchant style. Evening shooting of the beautiful Suzdal landscapes.

Day two.
We are getting up early in the morning and are going to take pictures of the famous Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on the River Nerl, which stands in a field near the village of Bogolyubovo. After this, we are visiting and taking photos of the Bogolyubovskiy monastery of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin. The monastery occupies the territory of the palace-castle of Andrey Bogolyubskiy — the only civil building of ancient Russia that has survived until present.
After breakfast, we are having a walk and tour to the ancient monasteries and temples of Suzdal, visiting the Museum of wooden architecture. Sunset shooting.

Day three
Sunrise shooting of Borisoglebskaya Church in the village of Kideksha on the Nerl river.
Breakfast.
We move to the beautiful old town of Ples on the Volga river.
Here we are going to get acquainted with the architectural and landscape complex of the city, take pictures of the ensemble of the Cathedral mountain, including the defensive shaft of the 13th century, the Cathedral of the Dormition of the 16th century, the Northern building of Government agencies and the monument to the founder of the city, Prince Vasiliy I, surrounded by a landscape park.
We are visiting the house museum of Levitan.
Breakfast.
We move to the beautiful old town of Ples on the Volga river.
Here we are going to get acquainted with the architectural and landscape complex of the city, take pictures of the ensemble of the Cathedral mountain, including the defensive shaft of the 13th century, the Cathedral of the Dormition of the 16th century, the Northern building of Government agencies and the monument to the founder of the city, Prince Vasiliy I, surrounded by a landscape park.

Day four.
After the morning shooting and breakfast, we are moving to Kostroma.
Here we have a tour of the city. We will get acquainted with the architecture of the ancient city and the radial style of Catherine the great. We will see the "frying pan" of Kostroma, Milk mountain, Merchants' rows, Fire tower, Ostrovskiy's garden-house.
We are going on a tour to the Ipatievskiy monastery, visit the chambers of the Romanov Boyars.
Here we have a tour of the city. We will get acquainted with the architecture of the ancient city and the radial style of Catherine the great. We will see the "frying pan" of Kostroma, Milk mountain, Merchants' rows, Fire tower, Ostrovskiy's garden-house.

After a morning shooting, will are going to Uglich.
By the way we will stop in Yaroslavl. Here we will have a delicious lunch and walk around the historical part of the city.
We will visit the authentic and interesting town of Myshkin.
In Uglich, we will be taking pictures of mansions of XVIII-XX centuries, numerous churches, ensembles of Epiphany and Resurrection monasteries, the dike of Uglich hydroelectric generating station, flood-gate and picturesque dam. We will visit the Kremlin, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, the Church of Dmitriy on Blood.
By the way we will stop in Yaroslavl. Here we will have a delicious lunch and walk around the historical part of the city.

In the morning at dawn, we are going to Kalyazin. We will see and take pictures of the bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral. The Cathedral was covered by water after the flood caused by the construction of a reservoir in Uglich.
After breakfast, we are going to Rostov Velikiy.
In Rostov, we have a planned shooting of the Rostov Kremlin: ensemble of the Bishop's court, Cathedral square and Metropolitan garden. We will be listening to the legendary Rostov bell ringing, looking at the Museum of enamel.
We will come to Pereslavl-Zalessky for the evening shooting.
After breakfast, we are going to Rostov Velikiy.
In Rostov, we have a planned shooting of the Rostov Kremlin: ensemble of the Bishop's court, Cathedral square and Metropolitan garden. We will be listening to the legendary Rostov bell ringing, looking at the Museum of enamel.

Day Seven
Morning shooting. Breakfast.
After breakfast, we are going to the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. We will visit the main temples of the Lavra and its holy places.
We will get acquainted with the magnificent monastic ensemble - a monument of five centuries. We'll visit the Trinity Cathedral, where the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh are stored, Monastery canteen, the Cathedral of the Dormition.
In the evening we will return to Moscow, where our tour will end.
After breakfast, we are going to the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. We will visit the main temples of the Lavra and its holy places.
We will get acquainted with the magnificent monastic ensemble - a monument of five centuries. We'll visit the Trinity Cathedral, where the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh are stored, Monastery canteen, the Cathedral of the Dormition.
In the evening we will return to Moscow, where our tour will end.
